Identify Proportional Relationships

Decide whether a table or equation represents a proportional relationship by checking for a constant y / x ratio and the y = kx form with no added constant.

Let's start

What are we learning?

A proportional relationship keeps the same multiplier from x to y. If x is doubled, tripled, or scaled another way, y scales by the same factor. On a graph, a proportional relationship is a straight line through the origin, so its equation has the form y = kx.
