Estimate Populations Using Proportions

Use a tagged sample proportion to estimate a whole population by setting up equivalent ratios and scaling from sample tagged to total tagged.

A sample stands for the whole group

Population estimates use a sample to represent a larger group. If a certain fraction of the sample is tagged, we use that same fraction as an estimate for the whole population.
